Counselling and Psychotherapy for adults and young people in Aylesbury, Buckinghamshire.
I am a professional therapist and supervisor who creates a confidential and safe space in which you can explore your difficulties and make the necessary changes to your life.
I believe in the power of talking as a way of understanding ourselves and making sense of our lives.
Through the process of sharing our experiences, we can begin to work out what we want out of life and can shape our future to look how we desire rather than staying in the same old stuck patterns.
How I Can
I am a BACP registered therapist specialising in working with anxiety, depression, bereavement and loss, low self esteem and relationship issues. I will help you to recognise and understand your unhelpful patterns and the anxiety and depression which results from difficult life events or past experiences.
Sometimes feelings can come out of the blue and seem to have no cause in the here and now. I will help you to explore and understand this so you can make changes to how you feel. I use an integrative approach to therapy including Transactional Analysis, cognitive behavioral therapy and psychodynamic approaches.
"My sessions with Fiona have been a lifeline to me over the last few months. I have become a lot less anxious and feel more comfortable in my own skin. She is warm and I feel I can say anything to her without her thinking any worse of me. I am very grateful for all her hard work and patience."
“I have been seeing Fiona for the past year following the sad loss of my wonderful husband and best friend. During our weekly sessions, Fiona provides me with great guidance, coping methods and a place where I can truly and openly talk about my feelings without being judged. The support and compassion Fiona is providing me with, during what is the most difficult time of my life, is invaluable and a great comfort.“
"Fiona is an insightful and sensitive counsellor who has helped me start to see things differently to the way I saw things before our sessions. She has gently encouraged me to be less hard on myself and to take my own self-care into consideration, rather than just putting all my efforts into looking after my young family"
"Having seen Fiona only twice, I can say that Fiona is the first therapist that my daughter feels comfortable enough to open up to.
Fiona has a very warm and empathic approach with an attentive ear wanting to understand and offer support.
My daughter looks forward to seeing Fiona and feels she is happy to continue going to her appointments which is a first"
